Puppies and Kittens
When you bring your new pet in to meet us, we examine it for intestinal parasites and heartworms and discuss pet nutrition, spaying or neutering, training and behavioral counseling, dental care, and other health care issues. To help you care for your pet, we have specifically designed puppy wellness and kitten wellness programs including a regiment of vaccinations. Adult Dogs and Cats
Our goal is to help you keep your pet healthy and happy, so we recommend annual examinations, routine vaccinations every three years, yearly bordetella vaccinations for dogs, and yearly feline leukemia vaccinations for outdoor cats. We also recommend year-round flea, intestinal parasite, and heartworm prevention, such as Revolution and Vectra 3D counsel you on maintaining your pet’s optimal weight. Senior Pets
To enhance your dog or cat’s aging process, we recommend semiannual visits to Pet Medical Center Sunland. During those visits, we give your animal a dental disease assessment and evaluate your animal’s diet. We recommend changing your pet’s food and adding joint or vitamin supplements. Pet Loss
Letting go of your pet can be very difficult. The veterinarians and staff at Pet Medical Center Sunland do everything we can to comfort you and make your dog or cat’s passing a loving experience. With this in mind, we are often able to provide euthanasia in the comfort of your own home. We also have a pet loss library to help you manage your loss and pet memorials and light a candle to celebrate the life of your dog or cat.
